Mikaela was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta. Following her graduation from Mount Royal University’s theatre program in 2011, she worked as a performance artist in Alberta for several years, acquiring a diverse array of theatre, film, music, and dance credits. During that time, she also held a variety of administrative and communications roles in the arts, marketing, real estate, healthcare, and restaurant industries.
Since moving to Vancouver in 2019, Mikaela attended the University of British Columbia and acquired a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus in creative writing, philosophy, and cultural studies.
Prior to joining Westcoast Wills and Estates, Mikaela worked multiple semesters as an undergraduate TA for the UBC department of philosophy and contracted as a copywriter and social media coordinator at a local marketing firm while wrapping up her studies.
Outside of work, Mikaela enjoys spending time with loved ones, writing, attending concerts, reading literary fiction and watching horror movies.
